Green moong dal sprouts is one of the healthy salad and easy to prepare. This can be had daily in the evening as snack which is rich in protein and it is good for people on diet. This salad is good for children too.
- 1 cup of moon dal
- 1 onion [finely chopped]
- 2 green chilli [finely chopped]
- a pinch of hing
- curry leaves
- coriander leaves
- Soak the moong dal in water for overnight. Next day drain all the water and wrap the sprouted moong dal in muslin white cloth or paper towel for one or two days [sprinkle some water on dal so that sprouts will come out well]. Next day you can see the sprouts had come out. If not keep it for some more time until the sprouts comes out.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds when it splutters add onion and saute for few minutes.. Then add green chilli’s and few curry leaves. Now add the sprouted moong dal and stir for 2 minutes and then cover with lid for 4 to 5 minutes. When it is done squeeze little lemon juice and add some coriander leaves. Now ready to serve.
